Alex was a handsome dark-haired lad with big brown eyes, sun-tanned chocolate skin and toned sporty body. Living in a small tribe at the edge of the forest, he couldn't afford himself such luxury as being fat since he had to move a lot and hunt smaller animals or gather edible roots and berries. Now he was exploring the savannah with a small wooden spear with a stone tip, looking for food and having his belly groaning and rumbling from hunger loud enough to be heard from fifty yards, not speaking about the sweet scent of sweat his naked body, covered only by a small loincloth.

Calza was a fox not much older than 18, a few years at most, which landed well to his physique and agility. Unlike some other species in the savannah, foxes typically stayed to themselves, or in close knit families. This meant that instead of hunting for a whole tribe, Calza was hunting for himself, or for his parents and his siblings, meaning hunts had to be done less often.
