Pilar was a handsome anthro dragon with golden scales, who worked as a night guard in the military lab. He had no idea about what the scientists were working on, but he served his duty well, walking along the dark tunnels of the lab with a flashlight and searching for any intruders who might dare to break in the facility. He didn’t really expect to find them, but still better be safe than sorry… Suddenly he heard someone screaming and calling for help in the test subject department, but just a few seconds later those screams were gone. The dragon cursed, picking up a handgun from his belt and aiming to the darkness, barely scattered by his flashlight. He had no idea why the owners of the lab kept the lights off at night – it didn’t seem like saving the costs on electricity was a priority for them with such funding, but he knew that nothing did happen in this world without purpose… He didn’t like being among test subjects – these people would most likely be dead in a few days, sacrificed for science as the management tried to urge the employees, and even if all of them were criminals and dangerous for society, Pilar still felt sorry for them…
