Arcanum Academy matched its name, educating hundreds of magically gifted students in all categories of arcane arts. None of the major cities had enough courage to embrace the neighborhood of those fireball-casting-weirdos. So, the monumental building of stone was located in the narrow valley amongst high mountains, where magic experiments couldn’t harm anyone but the experimenters themselves.
All of the students dwelled in three big dorms, framed with a twelve feet tall wall. Not that it could stop a dedicated aspiring mage from escaping, but at least it kept the wildlife away from the students, some of which were so small that even a wild weasel could pose a threat to them in their sleep.
