Leafeon already lost count to time since the moment he and his friend Lucario got swallowed down by a giant Vaporeon. Her stomach was always dark, so they couldn’t distinguish night from day, falling asleep when they got tired and waking up when they felt refreshed enough. They were desperately trying to escape for the first few weeks, gnawing, scratching, poking, kicking and punching the squishy walls of the predator’s stomach, but they were too tough for them to even hurt the predator, let alone break through. And when they were bothering the Vaporeon too stubbornly – she squeezed her belly with her paws, causing real tsunami of gastric juices and semi-digested organic sludge, destroying everything the Pokémon friends managed to build even in such horrible conditions. So, eventually they gave up and stopped their attempts to get out in such blunt way. They were living on a raft of broken boards and shipwreck, which were coated in the predator’s gastric juices and slime so lavishly that stuck to each other. “Gosh, I’m starving so badly…” Leafeon complained, laying on his side and rubbing his retracted belly with his front paws. His ribs could be seen through the strained furry hide, making Lucario feel really guilty. He didn’t look any better himself, but it was his fault that they ended up in here, if he wasn’t so stupid – they wouldn’t steal that submarine and wouldn’t end in a giant predator’s belly. Now his friend was about to starve to death and he couldn’t do anything to stop that… or could he?

His gloomy thoughts were interrupted by a quake of the predator’s, followed by specific gulping sounds. “Look out!” Lucario yelled as a whole yacht squeezed out from the sphincter above and plopped into the pool of gastric juices, making a huge wave of gastric sludge which almost threw the Pokémon off their raft. “H-heck, does she have any idea about what stuff is edible and what is not?” Leafeon asked grumpily, shaking the splinters off his paws – he had to dig his claws really deep into the wood to not be tossed off board. “I don’t think so – I heard that the bigger and stronger a creature gets – the less intelligent it becomes…” Lucario murmured, beginning to row towards the yacht which managed to survive the short yet devastating trip through the predator’s gullet. The submarine they stole from human scientists was made of metal which was torn and bent beyond buoyancy by the predator’s gullet walls, but the fancy fiberglass yacht looked like it was brand new, well, besides a few illuminators being broken, of course… The Pokémon climbed onto the yacht and began exploring it. “Look, a fishnet! Guess I can use it to catch the fish she swallows before it drowns in her gastric juices…” Lucario exclaimed, showing what he found to his friend proudly. “And here’s some canned food and biscuits…” Leafeon said, opening a small cupboard and pulling out a whole sack of hardtack – the reserve supplies each ship had to have.

“Woo-hoo, we will survive!” Lucario exclaimed cheerfully, picking up his friend from the floor and giving him a tight hug, making Leafeon wheeze and frown in irritation – he wasn’t so fond of such demonstration of emotions, but… he had to admit that it felt really pleasant… His retracted belly, which let out a hungry groan, interrupted this unity, making both Pokémon blush. “Oh, I’ve almost forgotten you’re hungry as hell… wait a bit, I’ll make you a meal…” Lucario said, opening the canned meat with his sharp claws and putting it onto the hardtack, making an improvised sandwich. Leafeon looked at that process with widely opened eyes, lavishly drooling on the floor and immediately snatching the food out of Lucario’s hands as soon as he brought it to his snout. “Ouch, be careful, dude, there’s enough for both of us…” Lucario complained, shaking his hand as Leafeon bit his finger. Leafeon swallowed down the sandwich, barely chewing it, and sighed with a blissful smile on his face. “Sorry, pal, I’m just too hungry…” He murmured, blushing a bit from embarrassment. “Heh, no worries, I understand…” Lucario chuckled indulgently, making four more sandwiches for Leafeon and then making five for himself. The yacht filled with greedy chewing and gulping sounds, until five minutes later both Pokémon were lying on the floor, hugging their noticeably bloated bellies and smiling happily, sometimes letting a belch or two. For the first time in weeks, they were finally full…

The Vaporeon seemed to be full either – at least she didn’t swallow anything else for the rest of the day, just chilling on the surface of the sea. Leafeon understood that because the temperature in her stomach was gradually rising as she kept her belly under direct sunlight. Acrid fumes were rising from the pool of gastric sludge, making Pokémon friends dizzy. “Damn, I hope that one day she swallows something she can’t digests and vomits us out…” Leafeon murmured grumpily, looking at the roof of the Vaporeon’s stomach, seeing how the folds on it were rippling synchronously with the predator’s loud thumping heartbeat, pumping tons of blood through her veins. “She ate so many ships and even a submarine; I doubt there’s anything in this world able to give her indigestion…” Lucario sighed sadly. “Yeah… well, at least we have a much comfier place to live now!” Leafeon said, looking at the brighter side and pouncing onto the massive bed, enjoying its softness and coziness. “Indeed!” Lucario snickered, lying next to him. “How do you think, where are the owners of this yacht? There weren’t any humans when we came here…” Leafeon asked. “I think she just stole it from the pier, that’s why it was empty…” Lucario said confidently. “Well, guess now we’re the rightful owners of it as it is now on our turf… or better say in our puke sea…” Leafeon chuckled.

The yacht engine was working and it could even move around in the said ‘puke see’, even though very slowly. Unlike the raft, it was covered from the sides and from above, so when the Vaporeon was diving in the water or turning sharply, the waves of gastric juices and caustic slime didn’t wash the poor Pokémon off their vessel. Their life inside her belly became bearable and even somewhat enjoyable – they didn’t have such luxury as a decent bed when they lived in forest. Their food supplies were slowly but surely coming to the end though – after weeks of starvation wild Pokémon weren’t able to force themselves to control their rations and always gorged themselves up until they couldn’t fit anymore, walking around with bulging stuffed bellies all the time. Of course, they both gained some weight which should last them a few more weeks of starvation, but it didn’t mean they wanted to starve at all. Luckily, Lucario was right about the fishnet – it was able to give them an infinite supply of food. They stretched it over the roof of the yacht on plastic paddles they took from the lifeboats. Well, Lucario did most of the job since Leafeon had paws and couldn’t really grasp anything, but he cheered his friend up with his unstopping scolding.

“Come on, hurry up! She’s moving around too much, probably on a hunt already!” Leafeon said. “I know, I know… a-and, ready!” Lucario said, wiping the sweat off his forehead before stepping back and enjoying the results of his job. “Here it goes, hide!” Leafeon yelled, tugging Lucario by his tail back under the roof right in time before a powerful stream of sea water poured out from the predator’s gullet straightly onto their yacht. Pokémon knew they were risking – the greedy Vaporeon could easily devour another yacht which could smash them into pieces, but if they didn’t get some fish right now – there was a risk they wouldn’t last till her next hunt… They were lucky this time, the only thing the water brought was tons of fish of different sizes, filling the fishnet up to the brim. Lucario made the yacht swim back so the fragile construction of paddles wouldn’t break under the weight of fish, and only when they were far from the predator’s gullet they finally sighed with relief. “Whoa… that’s a lot of fish… I’m not sure we will even be able to eat it all before it is spoiled…” Leafeon murmured, climbing on the roof and approaching the fishnet, unable to resist the urge and snatching the biggest fish nearby, swallowing it down whole. “Don’t worry, I have a plan! We can put all the leftovers in there till we need them!” Lucario said proudly, pointing at the plastic barrel he put on the aft of the yacht. Now it was full of sea water and could keep the fish alive as long as they wanted. “Damn, you’re genius, man! I’m glad that you’re around…” Leafeon exclaimed cheerfully, giving Lucario a hug and making him smile. Finally, they were safe, for now at least…
